Sales Director Convenience and Petroleum

Summary of Role

The primary purpose of the Sales Director is to create a direct customer selling strategy in the convenience / petroleum market, develop relationships at multiple levels of the customer organization and convert these opportunities into new business. In this role you will have the opportunity to create a roadmap of success in a true start-up and entrepreneurial way by satisfying our customers need to operate facilities more effectively.


In this role you will be responsible for

  • Developing a direct customer sales strategy to unleash the large market in the convenience store channel to Energybox  
  • Manage the customer journey and ensure you lead the effort to engage functional  personnel and communicate required resources to convert the opportunity
  • Maintain and grow relationships with customers throughout the contract term and develop new relationships
  • Possessing a deep understanding of the company product working closely with customers and align their goals and pain points with Energybox solutions   
  • Contribute to company and sales strategy and evolve based upon in-market learning, Industry knowledge and recognizing trends while incorporating customer feedback
  • Represent the company at trade shows or marketing organizations to promote and create company awareness
  • Provide regular updates to team and management on sales and customer engagement strategy
  • Develop, grow and maintain professional relationships across network
  • Ability to utilize marketing tools, trade associations to advance the company and voice in the market
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets



  • 8 -10 years experience selling to the Convenience Store & Petroleum Channel
  • Proven track record of success building a direct customer strategy and creating intimate relationships across customer departments  
  • Established contacts and relationships within the Convenience Store and Petroleum Channels
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to create, communicate and execute a sales plan with keen knowledge of target market and how to break through the customer matrix   
  • Experience and knowledge of selling enterprise software solutions and adapt to a SaaS selling environment
  • Possessing a strong technical aptitude is integral part of the role
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to translate technology concepts to address customer pain points
  • Ability to close
