Key Account Manager – IoT Solution Sales

Energybox is a leading IoT Automation & Solutions Company. We help multi-site customers automate their operations, reduce costs and improve sustainability.  We provide an integrated IoT platform which includes proprietary sensors, controls, software and AI to monitor, automate and optimize facilities, equipment and processes.  

Energybox is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual. The Key Account Manager will play a key role with the acquisition and growth of large multi-site enterprise customers within Energybox’s focused industry segments.  The candidate will be responsible for understanding the customers workflow, and process challenges, and translate to benefits coming from Energybox solutions.

About Your Job: 

  • Able to leverage software and IoT Systems to enhance commercial outcomes in multi-site environments, such as restaurants convenience stores 
  • Comfortably articulate technology and functionality of Energybox solutions, within the context of customers environment 
  • Leveraging Energybox solutions to meet and enhance customer workflows, processes and overall experience 
  • Understanding and able to articulate enterprise technology solutions as it relates to software integration and application development  
  • Build and maintain relationships with influential technical, and non-technical, decision makers for the successful adoption and solution deployment
  • Possessing a deep understanding of both hardware and software company products
  • Manage the customer journey ensuring you communicate required resources to convert the opportunity 
  • Maintain and grow relationships with customers throughout the contract term and develop new relationships
  • Contribute to company and sales strategy which will evolve based upon in-market learning, industry knowledge and recognizing trends while incorporating customer feedback 
  • Represent the company at trade shows or marketing organizations to promote and create company awareness
  • Provide regular updates to team and management on sales and customer engagement strategy
  • Ability to utilize marketing tools, trade associations to advance the company and voice in the market 
  • Able to manage and negotiate pricing per company standards.  
  • Ability to travel 50% or more 

About You: 

  • Preferred 5+ years of experience within IoT software sales and related activities 
  • General working knowledge of API Integrations,  Wireless/ RF technologies, and building control and automation systems
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with C-level executives, IT Management and Operations managers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, both verbally and in writing
  • Highly proficient in selling software as a service (SaaS) to enterprise customers
  • Strong working knowledge on a broad range of IT technologies and platforms 
  • Proven ability in performing assessments of customers processes and targeting use cases
  • Proven track record of success building a direct customer strategy and creating intimate relationships across customer departments  
  • Established contacts and relationships with the National Convenience Store and Petroleum Chains, and Channel Partners 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to create, communicate and execute a sales plan with keen knowledge of target market and how to break through the customer matrix   
  • Experience and knowledge of selling enterprise software solutions and adapt to a SaaS selling environment 
  • Possessing a strong technical aptitude is an integral part of the role 
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to translate technology concepts to address customer pain points
  • Ability to convert pipeline into contracted customers 
  • Flexible and results driven individual who demonstrates a positive “whatever it takes” attitude
